Melissa initially commenced her exploration of yoga with meditation as a university student. This led to a curious journey through various styles of yoga and meditation, which inspired Melissa to undergo the strenuous and challenging 9 month full-time 1200 hours Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Arts – directed by Louisa Sear, in 2004 (Certificate IV Yoga Teacher).
Melissa’s love of yoga has supported her in every dimension of her life and she is forever enchanted and fascinated by how yoga, meditation and the practice of Mindfulness can transform our energy and experience and transport us to a place of deeper Awareness, Vibrancy and Illumination.
Melissa teaches pure, joyful yoga, designed to suit you and your physical and emotional needs. Having a private yoga practice enables us to explore the depth of yoga safely without any distractions of group class environment- therefore deepening the individual’s true experience of what yoga can offer us.
Melissa has been extremely blessed to have trained with some of the worlds most highly respected yoga and meditation teachers including: Rose Baudin, Clive Sheridan, Louisa Sear, Sogyal Rinpoche, Swami Shankrananda, Dr Rishi Vivekananda, Jean Campbell, Simon Borg- Olivier and Glenn Ceresoli.
Melissa gains constant inspiration from the teachings of the sweet and incredible Vietnamese Zen Buddhist Monk, Thich Nhat Hanh and of course the wonderful 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, Tenzin Gyatso.
