Melissa Podmore is a fully registered Psychologist with the Australian Psychological Society with over 15 years experience. Melissa is available for Individual Counselling sessions in Manly/Northern Beaches, Bondi Junction and via Skype for those people unable to attend the clinic location.
Melissa offers a caring and nurturing environment for her clients to relax and truthfully explore their current or past challenges, offering practical and effective strategies of support, and a re-discovery of the strengths within themselves.

As Melissa is a Medicare Provider, referrals that are accompanied with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP are eligible for a Medicare Rebate of $80.00 off your consultation fee. Melissa holds an Honours Degree in Psychology. For the past 15 years Melissa has expanded on her degree qualifications to become an experienced Psychotherapist/ Counselling Psychologist. Melissa has trained extensively with world leaders in Psychological Therapy enabling her to utilise a wide range of interventions to assist each client's individual needs. Melissa's therapeutic training includes Neurobiology of Attachment and Trauma; Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy; Narrative Therapy; Gestalt Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Medical Hypnotherapy; Neuroplasticity, Mindfulness and Trauma; Specialised Trauma Treatment and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. In addition, in 2004 Melissa undertook a 9-month intensive full-time Yoga Teacher Training program (1200 hrs) to become a professional Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness teacher, all of which she finds enriches the therapeutic process.
